In H&F we strive to be a place where every child has the best possible start in life, grows up feeling cherished, loved and realises their full potential as young citizens.
We are committed to providing the right support at the right time to enable our families and communities to be safe and healthy and for our children to thrive.
Our Systemic Practice model is well established, placing emphasis on relationships as key to supporting change for families. We nurture relationships that are respectful, collaborative and empowering with our families, supported by our highly skilled Clinical team, networks and partner agencies, focusing on the whole family system rather than individuals.
H&F is a thriving borough that is always striving to develop and improve. Children’s Social Care was judged ‘Outstanding’ in our last Ofsted inspection in March 2024 which reflects our firm commitment to improve the lives of our youngest residents and their families. The report recognises the care, professionalism, empathy and tenacity of our staff and the service they provide, and is a testament to our unwavering dedication to our children, young people and families right across H&F. Read the full report here. The Youth Justice Service also received an overall rating of ‘Outstanding’ following an inspection by HM Inspectorate of Probation in July 2022. It’s an exciting time to join us with opportunities to work in a range of teams with different specialism.
We are committed to making Hammersmith and Fulham a place where every child has the best possible start in life, grows up feeling cherished, loved and realises their full potential as young citizens.
H&F is a great place to work with a strong development offer. This includes secondments and specialist training opportunities.

Hammersmith and Fulham Children’s Services adopted a Systemic Practice model in 2014. Our practice model is all about working with families, communities and other professionals in fair, compassionate and transparent ways; thinking about and adapting our practice to address racism, oppression and all misuses of power.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion matters in H&F. At H&F, we are committed to being an employer of choice through fostering greater inclusion, promote diversity and build a sense of belonging.
We believe that the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion are central to us being an effective regulator and employer. Our Children’s workforce and our Leadership team is diverse and reflects the community we work in .
