Systemic Practice in Hammersmith and Fulham

Hammersmith and Fulham Children’s Services adopted a Systemic Practice model in 2014. Our practice model is all about working with families, communities and other professionals in fair, compassionate and transparent ways; thinking about and adapting our practice to address racism, oppression and all misuses of power.

We invest in our workforce so that workers and managers are fully trained and qualified in systemic practice.

To support the work we do we have a dedicated Clinical Team who offers clinical consultations and a variety of interventions that supports the Child’s Plan.

Every team has a dedicated clinician supporting practitioners working with vulnerable children and their families. The clinician can work alongside a practitioner for example completing life story work or can offer advice and guidance, acting as a sounding board.

The clinical team offer bespoke support around social graces with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

We work with the Centre for Systemic Social Work to offer a range of development opportunities. The training is available to all practitioners doing frontline work. For more information go to About us | Centre For Systemic Social Work (cfssw.org)
